Founded in 2025…
by three close friends with similar interests, mental health experiences, and recognition of the current state of the world – the Out Here Social Club is a passion project born of the need for a no-judgement, no-expectations, no-pressure social collective for LGBTQ+ persons and allies alike.

Frequently Asked Questions
The OHSC was created in summer 2025 by three close friends with similar interests, mental health experiences, and recognition of the current state of the world.
They saw a need for more safe space for LGBTQ+ people and their friends to strengthen their mental and emotional wellness and engage in fun and low-pressure activities — thereby hopefully expanding what is typically offered up or perceived as part of mainstream LGBTQ+ culture.
We are a LGBTQ-led, community-centered collective rooted in connection, nature, joy, and emotional safety.
We hope to create a social club that is unique and stands out by offering space to be in nature, in your feelings, in good company, and to build something beautiful together.
We offer relationship-building events where you can engage in low-pressure activities that are in spaces where you are encouraged to be weird, adventurous, and real.
Whether we are kayaking, catching a sunset, sharing music, or just vibing over snacks and movies, our goal is to build genuine belonging outside of LGBTQ+ spaces that can feel performative, exclusive, or overwhelming.
Membership overall is designed to be inclusive, accessible, and low-barrier, with no requirements around income, employment, and/or residency.
All we ask is that you:
Be at least 18 years old to join and participate in activities and
Sign and return both the liability waiver and membership agreement.
- Though the OHSC aims to provide a unique and safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, everyone who commits to the OHSC mission, vision, and values will always be welcome and highly encouraged to join.
Joining is easy and only takes about 5-10 minutes. Connect with us to get started!
Not only can you, but we highly encourage it! Everyone is welcome at OHSC activities. If your friend(s) come and are interested in joining, let someone from the leadership team know!
We aim to be inclusive and accessible for all identities, bodies, income levels, and backgrounds.
We will never tolerate bigotry, bullying, misogyny, racism, fatphobia, ableism, transphobia, or any form of exclusionary behavior.
As an organization, we desire to be self-aware and strongly encourage feedback and ideas for greater growth and inclusivity, both from members and those who are interested in joining.
- We also require members sign this membership agreement, which holds us all accountable to the OHSC’s mission, vision, and values.
